People don’t listen, they just wait for their turn to talk

When you listen to somebody talking about a topic that you find interesting and engaging, it can be hard to just listen.

The moment you start thinking about what to say next, you loose focus from listen and might miss some essential points and thoughts from the person you are “listening” to.

Listening is incredible hard becourse of following challenges:

  • Borring or too complex/abstract talks can be difficult to stay focused on.
  • Exciting and engaging talks can also be difficult to keep your ears out and stop your mind from wandering.

The later challenge is achievable, though it demands deciplin. Everybody likes to do mindwandering on engaging topics.
